Usher Board
Psalms 84:10 highlights the honor in being a “doorkeeper in the house of God”, an honor that we don’t take lightly. For years COTLG ushers have dedicated their time and talents to providing our congregation with a safe and peaceful worshiping place. Our volunteer staff aim to maintain a standard of excellence in performing duties such as; preparing for the arrival of members, making EVERYONE feel welcome, handling emergencies, providing and environment free of distractions.
G.L.O.W Society
God’s Loving Outreach Workers will accomplish it’s goals when all have received an invitation to become a member of the Body of Christ. The GLOW Society is aware of the needs in our church and in our community. Therefore, we have promised to dedicate our lives to let our light shine to other men and women. Our scripture was selected from John 8:12…Then spake Jesus unto them saying. “I am the Light of the World; he that followeth me should not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Music Department
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members are involved in our music ministry. Some play their instrument, others are involved in the choir and the praise and worship team. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. “Sing to the Lord, praise His name! Proclaim His salvation day after day...” (Psalm 96:2)Hospitality
Our hospitality committee is a group of volunteer Christian workers who come together to greet and show Godly Love to ALL who come into the house of worship. We lead and assist other auxiliaries in the church to accomplish goals set in the mission statement. Our mission is to greet with warmth showing love to everyone while serving God!Mission Outreach
COTLG is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom throughout this community and surrounding communities. We continue to put emphasis on meeting the needs of God’s people with our money and with our prayers. Each year, different groups from our church participate in various organized outreach activities such as; soup kitchens, tutorials, TVCC luncheons, Christmas food drives, etc. . We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, sacrificing himself or herself for a stronger community and a stronger world.
Health & Wholeness
With the main thrust on outreach, we shall do all in our power to open the door to those who seem to be shut out or shut in. We visit the sick and shut-in in homes, hospitals and nursing homes. Provide communion for those who are unable to attend services.Deacons' Wives Ministry
The deacons’ wives assist and support the pastor and deacons in ministering to the needs of the overall congregation. We are devoted to serving our church when and where needed. We assist with the church ordinances such as preparing communion and baptism, and give support to our members and friends in a time of need. The deacons’ wives are empowered women who fellowship with and maintain “Unity” among the sisters, inspiring them through the word of Jesus Christ.
