I am excited and hopeful for the opportunity to pastor and lead such a great congregation.
My predecessor, Eldress Mary Henderson, has taken the time, with God's help, to develop a great spiritual legacy here in Athens. She has laid out a blueprint for this church that I plan to continue to build upon, with God's help and the support of the church membership.
I see my role as a spiritual leader, teacher, and role model for God's people. I am excited about the direction that we are moving in, and I pray that I will stay prayerful and focused on doing the Will of God and for what is needed in the best interests of our church.
My ultimate desire is to be the best leader and servant that I can be for God's Glory. I thank God for this privilege of Shepherding this great congregation, as we continue to grow spiritually in works and in numbers.
